Bishkek, Aug. 5, 2020 / Kabar /. A solemn handover ceremony of vehicles and other equipment to the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek took place in the capital city on Wednesday, Aug. 5, the ministry's press service reported.
This event was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Almaz Orozaliev, Acting Head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek Sergey Sizov, consultant to the OSCE Program Office Shamshybek Mamyrov.
In his welcoming speech, Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliev expressed gratitude to the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek for the assistance provided in strengthening the material and technical base. He said that the new cars and equipment are needed in the field of public order and personal safety, crime prevention, and will allow even more effective and purposeful fight against crime. In conclusion, Orozaliev expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation, wished success in work and implementation of projects.
The acting head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Sergei Sizov, noted that the vehicles and equipment were purchased in order to strengthen and improve the material and technical base and support law enforcement. He also expressed readiness to develop further cooperation in this direction.
The ministry received two GAZ 3302-1450 trucks (a vehicle for transporting prisoners), three Gaz Sobol minibuses (Mobile police) and other necessary equipment.
The new vehicles will be sent to different departments of the Internal Affairs Ministry and significantly increase the efficiency of the tasks of ensuring law and order. The vehicles are equipped with modern instruments, the report said.
