Ministry of Justice: In 5 days about 4 thsd citizens applied for free legal aid

Bishkek, Dec. 7, 2020 / Kabar /. According to preliminary estimates, during the decade of providing free legal aid to population, about 4 thousand citizens turned to the justice authorities for free legal advice and assistance, Akzhol Kalbekov, the director of the Center for Coordination of State-Guaranteed Legal Aid told reporters at the Kabar Agency.

A decade of providing free legal aid to population was held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5, 2020, throughout the country to provide free legal assistance to the population, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kalbekov said that in connection with the epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan, citizens asked questionss by telephone, through instant messengers, social networks and a hotline.

“I would like to note that this data is not final, the calculation of the number of citizens who have applied continues taking into account the online applications,” he said.

At the same time, the director indicated that during the decade, citizens most often applied for inheritance issues; ownership rights to immovable and movable property (pledge, donation, purchase and sale); family law (divorce, division of property, determination of the place of residence of children); criminal law; administrative offenses; social protection (pensions, benefits); land issues (registration of land plots, obtaining title documents, etc.), as well as on issues related to documentation, registration / re-registration, termination of activities of legal entities, apostille of documents.

“During the consultations, citizens also applied for qualified legal assistance,” Kalbekov added.
