Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2018. /Kabar/. On Friday, November 16, a telephone conversation took place between President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The press service of the President’s Office, reported that during the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Sooronbay Jeenbekov on his 60th birthday and expressed good wishes.
The leaders of the two states also discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory telegram to Sooronbay Jeenbekov with best wishes, noting that in Uzbekistan he is known as an experienced statesman, selflessly serving his country and people.
“Your policy ensures the sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic, strengthening its authority in the international arena. Thanks to political will and practical steps, the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness, mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic partnership continue to develop dynamically. An open and constructive dialogue established in recent years, the intensification of contacts at all levels contribute to the expansion of interaction in the political, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and the strengthening of cooperation in various sectors of the economy. I am convinced of the further strengthening of the many-sided relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for the benefit of our countries and peoples, for peace, security and stability in the region of Central Asia,” the telegram of the President of Uzbekistan read.
