Modern meat processing plant that meets EAEU standards built in Osh

Osh, Dec. 6, 2018. /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of a new industrial enterprise - Kelechek JSC meat processing plant – took place in Osh on Wednesday. Mayor of Osh Taalaibek Sarybashov, Chairman of the City Kenesh (council) Japarbek Ormonov, leaders and representatives of the business environment of the city, city organizations and institutions, citizens participated in the opening ceremony of the enterprise.

During the ceremony, the Mayor noted the contribution that enterprises of the industrial sector make to the development of the economy of the city and the republic as a whole.

“The city hall will always assist and support the opening of industrial enterprises and the creation of new jobs. Kelechek JSC meat processing plant is focused not only on the local market, but it is also planned to export meat products meeting all sanitary and ecological standards to foreign countries, including Russia and Iran. The main activity of the company is processing of meat products. The capacity of the enterprise according to the plans will be 200 heads of cattle and 300 heads of sheep per day. This is a great event for the development of the city,” the Mayor said.

During the event, familiarization with the industrial capacity of the enterprise, its work took place.

The Kelechek JSC was founded on the basis of a meat processing plant in 1993. The volume of services provided according to the plans will be 35.28 million soms per year. The company has opened a special laboratory that monitors product quality. Part of the funds for the opening of the enterprise was allocated by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, however, the bulk of the funds came from the enterprise itself.

Currently, the company has two modern lines that meet all sanitary norms and rules. In addition, the enterprise operates a shop for the processing of animal viscera, a refrigerating chamber. Next year, on the basis of a meat processing plant, it is planned to open a workshop for the production of sausages and canned meat.

The need for the functioning of the meat processing plant in Osh has been acutely felt in recent years. On the territory of the city there were 7 slaughter houses, which did not meet the requirements of sanitary and environmental safety.
