Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2023. /Kabar/. A modern multifunctional sports complex with a capacity of about 1,500 spectators will appear in Bishkek. The construction of this facility is planned as part of the memorandum "On improving the sports infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan." This document was signed today by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the As-Salam Humanitarian Foundation, Dr. Nabel Al-Oun, President of the As-Salam Foundation in Kyrgyzstan, Sarybai uulu Bakyt, and head of the National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Mamytov.

“Our As-Salam Foundation has already worked in many areas in different structures before. For example, we installed water in several places, helped orphans, built medical feldsher obstetric stations, hospitals and various complexes. Such a sports project is being implemented for the first time in the history of the foundation.

Thanks to this project, we got to know the National Olympic Committee of the country better. I hope that in the future we will implement many more such initiatives. Also, the United Nations makes a great contribution to the development of sports, and so that modern youth are involved in sports. That is why we are starting this project,” said Dr. Nabel Al-Oun.

A substantial sum is being invested in the creation of a new arena in Bishkek - about 2 million dollars. This is an investment in the development of sports, the health of the younger generation and the popularization of an active lifestyle. Draft designs of the sports arena are ready. This will be the largest complex in Bishkek, where competitions in various team sports can be held - from mini-football, volleyball, basketball to power martial arts, which are very popular in Kyrgyzstan. It will also be a convenient venue for mass sports events, children's and youth tournaments, and can be used as a base for training national teams. The complex will accommodate up to 1.5 thousand fans; there are no such facilities in Bishkek yet.
