Moldova plans to ban activities of Kyrgyz airlines on its territory

Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2025. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova proposed to ban the activities of airlines from more than 20 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Congo, Iran, Libya and Sudan.

The corresponding draft order is posted for public discussion on the website of this ministry.

The purpose of such actions by Moldova is to bring national legislation into line with the standards of the European Union. Public discussion of the document will end on January 9, 2025.

After the adoption of the draft order, 16 companies from Kyrgyzstan will not be able to use the airspace and airports of Moldova. Most of them are cargo companies.
