Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2024. / Kabar /. On December 13, the Pedagogical College of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn hosted the official closing ceremony of the KOICA WFK volunteer project led by Ms. Lee Young Il. As part of the project, a unique "Montessori Education Center" was established at the college, which will become an integral part of training future educators.

The Montessori method, developed over a century ago by Italian educator Maria Montessori, has consistently proven its effectiveness in educational settings. It is based on respecting the individuality of each child, creating a stimulating learning environment, and using specially designed materials. The method emphasizes the development of independence, responsibility, and creative potential.

The newly established "Montessori Education Center" at the Pedagogical College of KNU named after Jusup Balasagyn is designed to familiarize future educators with the key aspects of this methodology and equip them with the skills to apply it in their professional practice.

The center will not only serve as a base for student training but also as a space where faculty and students can acquire unique skills aligned with global standards.

We hope the center will become a powerful tool for shaping new professionals in early childhood education and help adapt international practices to local contexts.

This project was implemented through close collaboration between KOICA and the Pedagogical College of KNU named after Jusup Balasagyn. It highlights the importance of experience exchange and the integration of innovative teaching methods into the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
