Bishkek, Feb. 18, 2022. / Kabar /. The monthly demand for liquefied gas in Kyrgyzstan, is more than 9 thousand tons, the press service of the country's Antimonopoly Authority reported.
The gas motor fuel market is actively developing and the number of automobile gas filling stations (AGZS) in the republic is growing.
According to the National Statistical Committee, imports of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LPG) are carried out mainly from Kazakhstan and Russia. In 2020, import volumes amounted to 44.7 thousand tons, in 2021 - 113 thousand tons.
At the same time, according to data of the National Statistical Committee for 2020-2021, LPG was not exported.
The production and sale of LPG in the republic was previously handled by Junda LLC. In 2017-2019, the domestic refinery produced about 50 thousand tons of LPG per year.
In recent years, the conversion of cars from gasoline and diesel fuel to autogas has intensified, and there is an increased demand for the latter. At present, the republic's need for LPG is more than 9 thousand tons per month. In 2017, the demand was 3,000 tons per month, the report said.
