Ashgabat, May 24, 2024. / Kabar/. A monument to the People's Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Aitmatov has been erected in the cultural and park complex of Makhtumkuli Fraghi in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).
The monument is made in bronze, its height reaches 3.5 meters, plus a pedestal of 2.5 meters.
The opening ceremony of the huge park complex dedicated to the national poet and philosopher of Turkmenistan Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held on May 17, 2024 with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The idea to create the park belonged to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In addition to the 60-meter monument to the Turkmen poet and thinker, about 25 sculptures of foreign writers were installed on the territory of the park.
