Monument to national hero Bishkek Baatyr opened in capital

Bishkek, April 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part on Wednesday in an opening ceremony of the monument to Bishkek Baatyr in the capital city of Bishkek.

Speaking at the event, President Zhaparov stressed the importance of the event for the city and its citizens, dwelt on historical events associated with the name of Bishkek Baatyr, and noted his outstanding services in the liberation of Kyrgyz lands from foreign invaders.

Honored worker of industry Kalybek Alymkulov, Director of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences Abylabek Asankanov, relative of Bishke Baatyr Turgunali Aripov, famous historian Kyias Moldokasymov, former Prime Minister Temir Sariev also attended the event.

Bishkek Kenen uulu (Bishkek Baatyr) is a historical person who lived in the 18th century. He headed the national liberation movement against the enemy tribes of the Kyrgyz people.

The Bishkek Baatyr monument is made of bronze, the height of the monument is more than three meters.
