More than 1 thsd citizens detained since curfew in Bishkek

Bishkek, Apr. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. 1 thousand 76 people have been detained since the curfew was introduced in Bishkek on March 25, commandant of the capital city, Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliev told a news briefing in the Government House.

According to his data, 931 of them are men, 145 are women and 14 teenagers.

“32 large roadblocks and 76 mobile quarantine posts have been established in the capital. Security in the capital is provided by more than 3 thousand police and military,” Orozaliev said.

To date 116 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan. Five of them recovered.

A state of emergency is introduced since March 25 to April 15 in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad, Nookat, Kara-Suu regions of Osh oblast, as well as in Suzak region of Jalal-Abad oblast, a curfew is imposed from 20.00 p.m. till 7.00 a.m. in the above mentioned areas. A fine will be imposed for violation of the state of emergency.
