More than 1.7 thsd greenhouses operate in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2024 /Kabar/. In 2023, the total number of operating greenhouses in the republic was 1,765 units, and the occupied area reached 203.1 hectares, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to data of the ministry, greenhouses in regions:

- Chui region - 265 pieces on 53 hectares,

- Issyk-Kul - 74 pieces on 5 hectares,

- Naryn – 38 pieces on 5 hectares,

- Talasa - 15 pieces on 4 hectares,

- Osh - 370 pieces on 53 hectares,

- Batken – 191 pieces on 13.1 hectares,

- Jalal-Abad region - 812 pieces on 70 hectares.

The Ministry of Agriculture noted that these figures are 1.5 times higher than in 2022.
