More than 11,600 people live with HIV in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 25, 2022. /Kabar/. To date, 11,669 people living with HIV have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, the Republican AIDS Center reported.

According to the Center, 63.1% or 6,940 of them are men and 36.9% or 4,63% are women.

Of the total number of people living with HIV, Kyrgyzstanis account for 11,003.

Sexual transmission of HIV prevails in the country - 53.9%.
