More than 188 thsd tons of fuel marked in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan.16, 2025. /Kabar/. The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan together with the Uchkun JSC fuel labeling operator has labeled 188.6 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel fuel since the introduction of the labeling system.

In particular, 117.1 thousand tons of gasoline and 71.5 thousand tons of diesel fuel have been marked, the press service of the Tax Service reported.

In addition, in December 2024, since the introduction of mandatory fuel labeling, KGS 585.5 million of excise tax on fuels and lubricants were received, which is 51.6% more compared to the same period of 2023.

Starting Oct.1, 2024, mandatory labeling of gasoline and diesel fuel, both imported and produced in the country, using molecular markers is introduced in Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, from Jan.1, 2025 the circulation of unmarked gasoline and diesel fuel is prohibited.
