More than 20 thsd Bishkek residents receive flu vaccination

Bishkek, Oct.21, 2019. /Kabar/. As of Oct.18, total of 22.299 people were vaccinated in Bishkek, the press service of the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported.

According to the department’s data, including 5057 medical workers and 3586 often sick children. Vaccinations were also given in private medical centers - a total of 176 people were vaccinated.

Experts note in Kyrgyzstan annual increased incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in autumn and winter.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health has provided the Russian-made influenza vaccine to medical organizations in all regions of the country for vaccination of risk groups (medical workers, people with chronic diseases, often sick children, etc.).

In order to carry out vaccination campaign against seasonal influenza, 30 thousand doses of vaccine have been distributed to medical institutions in Bishkek.
