More than 200 works by eminent artists from CIS countries are exhibited in Bishkek

Bishkek, July 31 / Kabar /. The opening of the exhibition "Decorative and Applied Art of Russia. Author's works. XX - XXI century” is held today in at theKyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek.

The doors of the exhibition for all comers will be open until October 10, 2017.

The initiators of the opening of this event were representatives of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art of Russia. Ambassador of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Andrey Krutko, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as art workers from Russia and Kyrgyzstan attended the opening ceremony of the cultural event.

According to the organizers, the exhibition presents about 200 works from the funds of one of the largest museums in Moscow, among which are works that received state and international awards.

It is reported that the exhibition is held within the framework of the long-term program "Heritage of the Commonwealth. Traditions for the Future ", initiated by the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art in 2014. The program is designed to strengthen the unifying role of cultural heritage in the CIS area, as well as to promote the development of humanitarian and cultural ties.

"Four large-scale interstate projects have been held in four years of existence of the program: between Russia and Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. The project in Bishkek is especially valuable for us, because Kyrgyzstan is a country with a deep tradition of arts and crafts," the curators of the exhibition said at the opening ceremony.
