This number includes 178.3 km of asphalt roads and 86.5 km of gravel roads and 2 km of black gravel surface.
Thus, major repairs of the streets of Toktogul and Przhevalsk were completed in Karakol town of Issyk-Kul Oblast.
Construction of a bridge with Kazakhstan at the Ak-Tilek checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border is also underway to improve regional and economic ties and increase trade.
Reconstruction of Balykchi-Bokonbaevo-Karakol road (0-141, 640 km section Balykchi-Barskoon) started in August 2021 in accordance with the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. Earthworks on the section 0-25 km are completed, installation of asphalt concrete on the section of 2.2 km is done.
Construction of the Aral-Kazarman section (195-291 km), 99 km long, alternative road North-South and two overpass bridges was completed and put into operation in November 2021.
In addition, road works on 132-140 km of the Bishkek-Osh highway were completed, 8.5 km of roads on the Too-Ashuu Pass were asphalted last year.
