More than 31,000 members of election commissions work on voting day - CEC

Today, 650 members of territorial election commissions and 31,119 members of precinct election commissions work at polling stations on the voting day in the early presidential elections and a referendum on the form of government of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the country’s Central Election Commission said.

5,700 automatic reading boxes and 6,700 sets of identification equipment are used.

All information systems are functioning normally.

Earlier, the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic held trainings to ensure the smooth functioning of systems and cybersecurity for system administrators. 59 system administrators of territorial election commissions, about 5,000 operators of automatically reading ballot boxes of precinct election commissions, more than 6,900 identification operators were trained.

At the same time, 11 polling stations in the republic are located in high mountainous and remote areas, where there is no Internet connection. These are such areas as border outposts in the village of Enilchek of Aksu region and in the village of Zardaly in Batken Oblast; there are similar remote areas in Jalal-Abad and Oash Oblasts.

The transmission of the total voting from these precincts will be carried out by transporting the ballot boxes to the nearest precincts to send data through communication channels to the server of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic.
