More than 50 families move from Barak enclave

Osh, Jan. 15, 2018 / Kabar /. More than 50 families who moved from Barak enclave of Uzbekistan to Kara-Suu district of Kyrgyzstan built houses and are living in them.

The authorized representative of Osh region, Taalaybek Sarybashev visited Besh-Ui site in the Kara-Suu district, where people from the Barak enclave are residing. On the Besh-Ui site, 150 families who had previously lived in the Barak enclave were resettled.

Local residents living in the village appealed to Sarybashev to resolve the issue of providing them with clean drinking water, sources of financing and a construction project that is available.

Whereas, the authorized representative of Osh region gave a week term to the company that won the tender for the implementation of the project. Otherwise, he assured that the relevant state authorities will begin to conduct an investigation in order to establish the reasons for delaying the start of the construction. The contractor promised that the work will be completed on time.

In addition, the villagers asked Sarybashev to assist in resolving the issue of visiting the Barak enclave. Sarybashov said that an intergovernmental commission is working on this issue.
