Bishkek, July 25, 2019. / Kabar /. 61 cases of sickness from tick bites have been registered in Kyrgyzstan for the first half of the year.
According to the report of the Department of Disease Prevention and Sanitary Inspection, 5 of them are cases of tick-borne viral encephalitis and 56 cases of North Asian tick-borne typhus.
The report said that there is a tendency to reduce the incidence of echinococcosis by 2.6%, 485 cases (7.6%) were registered against 489 cases (7.8%) in 2018. The largest number of patients was registered in the cities of Osh (37.8%) and Bishkek (23.3%).
