Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2021. / Kabar /. There are about 40 investment projects in the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, including the public-private partnership (PPP) projects. At the moment, projects under the auspices of ADB and EBRD are at the stage of implementation, head of the department of economy and finance of the Mayor's Office Adilet Maldybaev told during a briefing in Bishkek.
“Through the Asian Development Bank, we have attracted more than USD 50 million to the capital. Half of these funds are grants, and half are loans. The money is needed to purchase electric buses.
There is also a project for EUR 33 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, it is at the stage of ratification. EUR 13 million are loans, the rest - grant funds. They will also be used to purchase buses,” said Adilet Maldybaev.
Deputy head of the department of economy and investments of the Mayor's Office Kubanychbek Kudabaev clarified that this money will go not only for the purchase of transport, it also is spent on repairing the depot.
