Bishkek, Apr. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Of an additional KGS 340 million, allocated to fight the coronavirus infection, KGS 183 million 395 thousand have been spent, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said at a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronaviurs Infection, the Government’s press service said Saturday.
"More than KGS 173 million have been transferred to the Emergency Ministry, over KGS 3 million to the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control, about KGS 769 thousand to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KGS 994.5 thousand to the Ministry of Transport and Roads.
The remaining KGS 116.6 million will also be distributed among these ministries and agencies. KGS 40 million, specially allocated to the Health Ministry, is used for its intended purpose," he said.
Abylgaziev reminded the world has not yet developed antivirus for this type of infection.
"Today, according to the Republican Headquarters, there are 339 people in the country infected with coronavirus. 43% of them are carriers themselves, the rest 57% are contacts. Now 290 citizens are in hospital, 5 people have died despite all the efforts of doctors. We extend our condolences to their families. 44 citizens have discharged, having recovered from this disease," the prime minister said.
At the same time, he noted 1 thousand 113 people are under observation today.
"Doctors and nurses working in a reinforced regime are provided with the necessary protective medical supplies and medicines. Their salaries are paid on time. Everything necessary for laboratory research and treatment of patients, including ventilators, is available. There are no problems with nutrition," PM Abylgaziev stressed.
