Mortality rate from total number of COVID-19 infected in Kyrgyzstan is 1%

Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, the mortality rate from the total number of those infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus infection is 1%, Deputy Health Minister of the country Nurbolot Usenbayev told a news briefing.

For comparison, he provided data in other countries such as China- 5.5%, in Italy- 13.3%, in India- 10.4%.

Usenbayev added that 260 people who have been in close contact with the those infected are currently under observation.

As of Apr. 28, 13 new cases of coronavirus infection have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan, bringing the total to 708, including 185 cases among medics.

416 citizens have recovered and discharged from hospitals, 8 have died.
