Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2024. /Kabar/. A regular meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) took place in Russia’s Moscow on Nov.12.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by Defense Minister Baktybek Bekbolotov.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various aspects of multilateral military cooperation, as well as summarized the results of joint work of defense agencies of the Commonwealth countries for 2024.
In addition, heads of Defense Ministries discussed preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. They emphasized the importance of joint work to preserve the memory of the heroism and courage of Soviet soldiers who died in the battles, and expressed readiness for further cooperation in this direction.
In the course of the meeting, Minister of Defense of Russia Andrei Belousov, in accordance with the decree and on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, awarded Minister Baktybek Bekbolotov with the Order of Friendship.
