Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan became the leader in terms of the number of migrants who came to live permanently to St. Petersburg from the CIS countries in 2017, the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service in St. Petersburg reported.
The leader of 2016 was Ukraine.
10,140 people arrived in St. Petersburg in 2017 from Kyrgyzstan, 1634 Kyrgyz citizens left this country. Thus, the migration gain with this country was 8506 people.
In second place in terms of migration growth in St. Petersburg - Belarus (2291 people), Armenia is the third (2173), the fourth is Ukraine (1414), and Moldova (909 people) closes the top five.
A year ago, Ukraine was the absolute leader with a migration increase of 1730 people.
According to the number of labor migrants who come to St. Petersburg for earnings from the CIS countries, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan remain absolute leaders.
