Bishkek, June 26, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan will host an anniversary motorcycle rally across the regions of the country and the Central Asian bike festival “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan,” President of the Motorcycle Community of Kyrgyzstan Askat Seitbekov told today at a press conference at Kabar Agency.
The anniversary rally starts from Bishkek, then the route will pass through the Chui and Naryn regions and finish in the Issyk-Kul region. “We will travel through the regions, passes, and admire the beauty of the country. The purpose of the run is to develop tourism in Kyrgyzstan and strengthen the brotherhood of the peoples of Central Asia. The run will be accompanied by visits to the sights of the country with the maximum involvement of foreign guests in the Kyrgyz flavor. We want to show our guests our hospitality, culture, nature, our national format,” Seitbekov said.
The head of the Motorcycle Community noted that the purpose of the event is to strengthen fraternal relations between the countries of Central Asia and Russia, develop tourism, raise the image of the country and attract youth to the sport.
More than 80 bikers will take part in the motorcycle rally, and about 400 bikers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will come to the festival.
Vice President of the Motorcycle Community of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Beishenkulov said that they attract the attention of young people to the popularization of motorcycle culture and the development of motorsports in the country, as well as the interest of foreigners in Kyrgyzstan as a tourist destination, increasing the number of bikers and tourists from all over the world visiting the country. In addition, the Community regularly holds charitable events and various social projects.
Roman Shlenskikh, a member of the Freeride motorcycle community from Almaty, emphasized that along with the development of motorcycle tourism and the culture of motorcycle movement, they are aimed at getting motorcyclists out of large cities, since it is often dangerous there. “And we are trying to develop this movement among young people,” he said.
He noted that most bikers will come from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.
President of the Federation of Automobile Sports and Tourism of Uzbekistan, vice-president of the Association of Motorcyclists of Central Asia Alexey Yun added that their format is expanding. “Relationships with our colleagues from Central Asia expand the boundaries. If earlier, crossing the borders of some countries was impossible, now all this has become accessible,” Yun shared.
