Bishkek, Mar.12, 2020. /Kabar/. At the session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) MP Baktybek Turusbekov asked citizens of the republic to listen to the recommendations of the Health Ministry and the World Health Organization to protect against the new virus.
"The world is taking unprecedented measures to prevent further spread of coronavirus. Yesterday, Mar.11, WHO declared the coronavirus pandemic. Air travel from Europe to America is already banned.
The Government of Kyrgyzstan is working hard in this direction. I would also suggest sending schoolchildren and students on indefinite holidays and moving their studies to summer time," the deputy said.
The parliamentarian also called on Kyrgyz citizens to understand the situation and to take advice on banning mass events, including various family celebrations, tois (feast), as this is about the health of the entire nation.
