MPs summon PM Abylgaziev to Parliament

Bishkek, Sept.18, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Parliament members summoned Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev to report on the situation at the border with Tajikistan.

Today during the plenary session deputies decided to hear Abylgaziev at 14:00.

Note that, yesterday, Sept. 17, Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with his Tajik counterpart Kokhir Rasulzoda at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Batken Oblast.

On Sept. 16, a gunfire incident occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, with the Tajik side being the first to use weapons by firing group fire at the Kyrgyz border post of Maksat, followed by a temporary Sai border post in the Leilek region, Batken Oblast.

As a result, a Kyrgyz border guard was killed, 6 civilians and 7 military personnel were injured, and they are in hospitals with injuries of varying degrees of severity.
