Bishkek, July 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . A body of a 3-year-old girl who was swept away by a mudflow was found Wednesday in Aksy region of Jalal-Abad Oblast of Kyrgyzstan.
The press service of the country’s Emergency Ministry reported that yards of two houses and an internal road leading to a pasture were flooded around 6:00 p.m. on July 12 due to heavy rains. Roads and bridges were destroyed in Ak-Zhol Zholborstu villages.
Two children in the village of Tashtak were swept away by the stream. In total, the mudflows claimed lives of 8 people, the bodies of 6 were found.
15 rescuers of the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry, 7 employees of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs and 30 local resident were involved.
"The body of a 3-year-old girl was found at about 10:30 a.m. in the village of Zholborstu. The search for a 5-year-old boy continues," the report said.
