Mufti of Kyrgyzstan and French Ambassador discuss exchange of experience in countering extremism

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Maksatbek Toktomushev met with Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan Michael Roux.

The press service of the Muftiat reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed development prospects and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries, the sides also considered the possibility of exchanging experience and planned joint seminars on countering radicalism and extremism.

“Last year, over 6,000 explanatory works were conducted in the republic to prevent attempts of extremism, terrorism and radicalism, and such work is carried out constantly for schoolchildren, students, the civil servant and ordinary citizens,” the Mufti told the Ambassador.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan Michael Roux thanked the Mufti for the warm welcome.
