Bishkek, Nov.15, 2019. /Kabar/. Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Maksatbek Toktomushev participated in the II Summit of World Religious Leaders, held in Baku, Azerbaijan on Nov. 14.
The Summit, attended by more than 500 guests, including muftis, religious experts, representatives of international organizations from over 70 countries, was organized at the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Spiritual Board of Muslims reported.
During the Summit it was decided to resume cooperation, such topics as countering extremism and terrorism, protection of children's and women's rights were touched upon. The Summit of World Religious Leaders resulted in adoption of resolution.
