Murashev on what would be beneficial to sow in 2019

Spring field work has begun in some regions, Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration Nurbek Murashev told during a meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament).

He said that this year it will be beneficial for Kyrgyz farmers to sow lentils, buckwheat and soybeans.

He also noted that prices for cotton on the world market had risen, so this year they increased the sown area by 2 thousand 200 hectares.

“We plan to increase the area of ​​tobacco by 1 thousand hectares, the area of ​​potatoes is reduced by 3 thousand 200 hectares,” the minister added.
