Bishkek, Feb. 21, 2022 . / Kabar / . In 2021, the volume of mutual trade reached the maximum for the period of functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and amounted to $72.6 billion.
The press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission reported that this figure is 31.9% higher than in 2020 and 17.8% higher compared to 2019.
The growth of export volumes in mutual trade was registered in all states of the Union. The largest increase was observed in Kyrgyzstan (by 44.9%) and Kazakhstan (by 34.9%).
The volume of foreign trade was $844.2 billion, 35.1% more than in 2020. The pre-coronavirus level of 2019 was exceeded by 14.7%. Exports of goods to countries outside the EAEU increased 44.1% in 2021 and imports increased 22.6%. The largest contribution to exports to countries outside the Union came from Belarus (up 47.8%) and Russia (up 47%).
