Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2022. / Kabar /. Mutual trade with Ukraine will not affect our trade and economic balance, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that usually when restrictions are imposed or force majeure occurs, it affects the trade and economic balance.
“But in general, mutual trade with Ukraine will not affect our trade balance in any way. There are certain types of products that are supplied from there, chicken meat, for example. But this year, imports will be replaced by domestic production," the minister said.
Amangeldiev also added that there are about 3 poultry meat processing plants in the country and in addition, another large plant is being built in Tokmok.
"Thus, our trade and economic balance will not be disturbed," the minister assured.
