Bishkek, April 4, 2024. / Kabar/. A bilateral meeting was held in Bishkek today between Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Manas Zhakypov and Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan Ayten Rustamova.
According to the regulator, during the meeting further areas of cooperation in the field of development of the green economy and the introduction of ESG principles into the financial system of the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed.
The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in the development and implementation of supervisory recommendations and regulation to more effectively identify, assess and manage climate risks in the financial sector, promote best practices in corporate climate management and transition planning.
