Bishkek, April 5, 2024. / Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Manas Zhakypov met on April 4, in Bishkek with representatives of the international universal commercial bank Landesbank Baden Württemberg (LBBW) on issues of mutual cooperation.
The current economic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and prospects for its development, including the development of trade finance, as well as the results of the development of the banking sector of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023 and compliance with international sanctions, taking into account the current economic and geopolitical situation were discussed.
As part of the visit, LBBW held a seminar for employees of the National Bank and commercial banks of the Kyrgyz Republic on the issue of sanctions compliance and international payments.
The seminar was also attended by representatives of the EBRD and KPMG, who spoke about trends in the development of the compliance function and gave practical recommendations for its implementation.
Commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan also shared their experience in implementing sanctions compliance and compliance control in general.
