Bishkek, March 26, 2019 /Kabar/. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan forecasts 5 percent inflation by the end of 2019, the press service of the bank said on Tuesday, Xinhua news agency reports.
“The price dynamics in Kyrgyzstan remains low. In March, the overall price level in annual terms fell by 0.4 percent. The National Bank forecasts inflation by the end of 2019 at the level of 5 percent, and its average annual value is expected to be no higher than 3 percent,” the press service said.
The growth tendency continues in the economy, mainly in the manufacturing industry. In January-February 2019, the real GDP growth made 4.9 percent. Domestic demand continues to be supported by the inflow of remittances into the country and the growth of real wages. In January 2019, the net inflow of remittances increased by 11.2 percent and the real wages - by 4.4 percent.
In the domestic foreign exchange market, the situation remains stable, the report said.
