Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic once again has suspended the banking sector activity.
According to the press service of the Bank, in order to ensure security of the financial-banking sector of the country and safety of assets of financial-credit organizations, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic recommends commercial banks and non-banking financial-credit organizations to suspend their activity on Oct. 7 and to strengthen security measures until stabilization of political situation in the country.
National Elkart payment system continues to provide an opportunity to make non-cash payments. Payments and settlements can be performed with appliance of instruments of cashless and remote payment: bank payment cards, electronic wallets, mobile applications, QR codes and other.
Meanwhile, the systems providing transfer of funds through national as well as international payment systems that allow making cross-border payments have been suspended.
In case of arising questions related to provision of financial services, the National Bank recommends applying to financial organizations through online services (by phone, e-mail, social networks and messengers, etc.).

The National Bank is monitoring the situation and, if necessary, will take measures to ensure the stability and security of the country's financial and banking system.
