Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2018. /Kabar/. On October 29, 2018, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic is introducing into circulation the collection coin entitled “The 90th Anniversary of Aitmatov” of the “Historical Events” series.
The press service of the National Bank reported that the collection coin was released to mark the 90th anniversary of the birth of eminent Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
“The work of Aitmatov is the invaluable spiritual wealth of the Kyrgyz people. His works have become an integral part of the process of education and upbringing of society, have entered into the programs of schools and universities in many countries of the world.
Chyngyz Aitmatov will forever remain in the memory and hearts of the people as a great writer who revealed the identity and rich history of the Kyrgyz people to the whole world,” the message read.
The main plot of the face of the coin is the image of the portrait and facsimile of Chyngyz Aitmatov. Along the circumference of the coin is the inscription “Чыңгыз Айтматов – 90 жыл!” “Chyngyz Aitmatov - 90 years”. On the right side is the coin value.
On the back side of the coin, in the upper part is the emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic. Against the background of stylized mountains and Issyk-Kul Lake, a white ship and Mother-Deer are depicted based on the same motifs of the works of Aitmatov. The year of release of the coin (2018) is indicated at the bottom.
Each coin is placed in an acrylic capsule and packed in a separate case with a certificate attached.
