National Energy Holding tells how $ 1 bln grant in energy sector was spent

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2018 / Kabar /. The Head of the National Energy Holding Aibek Kaliev explained how the money received in the form of a loan and a grant in the energy sector was spent.

During the session of the Parliament, the issue of the accident at the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant (TPP) is discussed. The TPP over the last 5-6 years received about $ 1 billion.

"Of these, $ 208 million was spent on Datka-Kemin, $ 386 million was spent on reconstruction of Bishkek TPP. Another $ 450 million is just being developed for reconstruction of the Toktogul Hydroelectric power station (HPP). Two transformers and two cable lines have already been changed. In Kambarata HPP the second unit is launched, At-Bashy HPP is completely reconstructed. There are also funds for Bishkek Heat Supply System," he added.
