Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan Andrei Strachko and director of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhyldyz Bakashova discussed in Bishkek the issues of holding a number of events in the educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
At the meeting held in the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, the sides noted the great role of the development of intercultural ties, which contribute to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries, and expressed interest in the further implementation of joint projects.
The National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of Belarus held an International Conference in Nov. 2017 dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian printing and the exhibition "The Book Heritage of Francis Skoryna and His Receivers".
Director of the library Bakashova expressed the wish for further fruitful cooperation and activation of bilateral contacts, and also presented the annual edition of the library Calendar "Kyrgyzstan - 2018. Days. People. Developments".
