Tashkent, Oct. 25, 2021 / Kabar /. Director of Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency Kubanychbek Taabaldiev visited on Sunday the National News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) and met with the agency’s leadership.
At the meeting it was noted that Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples have lived in good neighborliness since ancient times, they have a common history, cultural and religious values, traditions and customs.
Kyrgyzstan plays an important role in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy. The strategic partnership between the two countries is being strengthened based on equality and mutual interest. During the pandemic, Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan, our people supported each other.
The media plays an important role in further strengthening the friendship between the two countries. Keeping track of the transformations and success of both countries brings joy to two people.
Kubanychbek Taabaldiev is an active participant in important social and political events held in Uzbekistan. As an international expert, he took part in the international conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”. This time he observed the presidential elections, held in Uzbekistan on Oct. 24.

“I was pleased with the participation of Uzbekistan people in the elections. It was a real holiday! Its clean and order everywhere, there is no noise, everyone is in a good mood. I have visited five polling stations. I arrived at the polling station at Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi at 9 a.m. At that time, 10 percent of voters had already voted. Representatives of the polling station openly answered all the questions of the observers,” Taabaldiev said.
Kabar News Agency is a close partner of UzA. In 2017, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the agencies.
At the meeting, a proposal was made to arrange meetings of representatives of the state news agencies of the region using the strengthening of the atmosphere of good-neighborliness and cooperation in Central Asia. The sides noted the importance of holding media forums with the participation of journalists and exchange of experience.
The dialogue was held in a spirit of sincerity and friendliness.
