Bishkek, June 25, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz national team entered the top ten in the overall team standings of the BRICS 2024 games, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Kyrgyzstan was represented at the games by more than 100 athletes in 14 sports.
In total, Kyrgyzstan has 51 medals - 2 gold, 11 silver and 38 bronze. In the overall team competition, the domestic team took 9th place, the report said.
The sports games of the BRICS countries this year were held in Kazan (Tatarstan). 4 thousand 751 athletes from 90 countries took part in the competition.
