Bishkek, June 21, 2022. /Kabar/. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan earned four more medals at the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling among athletes under 17 years old (U17) and 23 years old (U23).
The Asian championship among youth and cadets started on June 19 at the Bishkek Arena stadium in Bishkek and will complete at June 26.
Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling athletes competed yesterday. As a result, Kyrgyzstan won two gold and two bronze medals.
Thus, Kutman Temirbekov (65kg) and Asan Dzhanyshov (80kg) won gold and Zhoomart Aralov (71kg) and Zharkynai Nurlan kyzy (61kg) earned bronze.
On the first day of the competition, national Greco-Roman wrestlers won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal:
1st place - Zhantoro Mirzaliev (60 kg);
1st place - Nurbolot Syrgabai uulu (92 kg);
2nd place - Kubanych Arinov (51 kg);
3rd place - Abdulahadhodzha Abdullakhodzhaev (55 kg).
The honor of Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championship is defended by 60 athletes.
