Navruz Cup 2022. Kyrgyzstan loses to Tajikistan in game for bronze medal

Bishkek, March 30, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s national football team lost to Tajikistan in the Navruz Cup 2022 international tournament held on March 25-29 in Namangan, Uzbekistan.

The tournament's third-place match between the two teams ended 0-1 in favour of the Tajik team. The only goal was scored by Parviz Umarbayev on the 53rd minute.

Both teams played the game with nine football players. In the first half, Gulzhigit Alykulov (Kyrgyzstan) and Manuchehr Saparov (Tajikistan) were sent off on the 22nd minute. In the second half, Kyrgyz player Odiljon Abdurakhmanov was sent off, and Vahdat Khanonov was given his second yellow card at the end of the game on the 84th minute.

Four national teams - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uganda - competed in the tournament.

In the semi-final, the Kyrgyz national team lost to Uzbekistan, and the Tajik team - to Uganda.
