Negotiations between Sadyr Zhaparov and Vladimir Putin take place in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2023. /Kabar/. Bilateral negotiations between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took place in Bishkek as part of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Welcoming the Russian delegation led by Vladimir Putin in Bishkek, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that this visit has a great symbolic meaning, since it coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Kant Air Base and the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

Sadyr Zhaparov, outlining these significant events in bilateral relations, emphasized that they are symbols of friendship between the two states. The Kyrgyz side highly values the Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations.

He noted with satisfaction that there is a strong foundation and broad prospects for strengthening relations of alliance and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

President Zhaparov noted the importance of further increasing cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of energy, agriculture, interregional cooperation, and the development of green economy projects.

In turn, Vladimir Putin thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for the warm welcome and hospitality.

Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the work done by the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of its chairmanship in the CIS and announced that Russia was taking over the baton from Kyrgyzstan and would chair the Organization in 2024.

In his welcoming speech, the Russian president also noted with satisfaction the busy bilateral agenda between the countries and the successful development of bilateral relations.

Speaking about economic cooperation, the Russian president emphasized that Russia is one of the country's leading trade and economic partners.

Vladimir Putin emphasized the interest of business in working together in such areas as energy, industry, agriculture, high technology and other areas. In addition, the Russian President noted the dynamically developing and interregional ties between the two countries.

During the negotiations, the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia paid great attention to issues of trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, interregional cooperation, and also discussed Kyrgyz-Russian interaction within the framework of international regional organizations and integration associations.
