Bishkek, May 15, 2024. /Kabar/. The official meeting ceremony of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, who arrived in the country on an official visit, took place today in Bishkek.
As part of the visit, an official meeting ceremony between the leaders of the two countries was held at the Ala-Archa State Residence. After which, negotiations took place in an expanded format, during which Sadyr Zhaparov and Anvar Ibrahim discussed current areas and prospects for bilateral cooperation, measures to build up and interact in all areas of mutual interest.
The head of state expressed confidence that today’s visit of Anwar Ibrahim will leave a bright mark in the history of cooperation and friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that comprehensive cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia has wide potential. Currently, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is at the initial stage. However, the President is confident that by combining efforts in the future it will be possible to achieve better results.
In turn, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, emphasizing that cooperation between the countries has great potential that needs to be developed.
Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia can implement joint projects in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
The leaders of the countries signed a “Joint Statement on the Comprehensive Enhancement of Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Malaysia” and made a statement to the media.
