Net inflow to Kyrgyzstan decrease by 14.4%, National Bank chairman

Bishkek, Jan.21, 2020. /Kabar/. On the results of 11 months of 2019, net cash inflow to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 14.4% compared to 2018, Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov said during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

According to Abdygulov, the gross inflow of remittances from individuals for 11 months of 2019 amounted to $2 billion 192 million, which is 11.6% lower than the same period in 2018 ($2 billion 479.4 million) or $286.3 million.

"Remittances from the Kyrgyz Republic were sent in the amount of USD 493.5 million, which is by 0.2% or USD 1 million lower compared to the same period of 2018 (USD 494.5 million).

As a result, the net inflow of funds received through money transfer systems in the reporting period decreased by 14.4% or $286.3 million and amounted to $1,698.5 million (in January-November 2018 - $1,984.9 million)," he said.
