Bishkek, Feb.6, 2020. /Kabar/. The net consolidated profit of Manas International Airport (MIA) OJSC for 2019 amounted to over KGS 2 billion, Deputy Chairman of the MIA OJSC Board Abdimalik Busurmankulov told reporters.
The deputy chairman said the company is working steadily. The indicators are growing every year.
According to the results of 2019, net consolidated profit amounted to over KGS 2 billion.
"At the end of 2018, we paid KGS 648 million as dividends to the state share. This does not include contributions to the Social Fund and State Tax Service. In total, our return to shareholders made over KGS 800 million," Busurmankulov added.
“As for regional airports, we annually restore airports that were designed and built back in Soviet times. We have started to invest funds from our own budget to renovate airports, which have regular flights. Some airports are idle, not because the airport does not want to restore them, but because airplanes of the airline cannot operate flights there by parameters," Busurmankulov said.
The deputy MIA OJSC Board noted the joint-stock company is not funded by the state budget. It invests all the funds that the airport is developing to ensure the material and technical base of the airports.
