Bishkek, May 7, 2021. / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Muktar Dzhumaliev held a videoconference meeting with Rein Dekkers, the Deputy Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Division of the Department for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as plans and prospects for interaction between the countries were discussed.
The Dutch side allocated assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of EUR 100 thousand in the framework of the fight against COVID-19, in particular for the purchase of necessary medicines, the report said.
The Kyrgyz ambassador thanked the Dutch side for the provided assistance, noting its importance in the context of the outbreak of a new wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides also discussed the resumption and intensification of political contacts between the foreign ministries, as well as the holding bilateral consultations between foreign ministries this year.
